Tonight started out a bit thin on players. (3 Spots were open) Regular player Amazing Dick Leufsteadt was on the injured list and closer Jim Berkeley was outta town.
Eric Hart launched the ship with two sets followed by stalwart Tom Ewart. and his sweet guitar. Luckily, the bar keep had some friends who wanted to come down and play the 9:30 spot. Amanda and Mike were just Great! I hope they return real soon. I filled out the next open set with some Beatles toons in honor of John Lennons birthday. Carloyn closed out the night with more John Lennon stuff too complicated for me to play.
Just as I was packing up a crowd of yong'ns shuffled in so I got up to do a few more songs. Ended up playing till Hotel Vernon owner Bob announced 'Last Call" It was a very receptive bunch and I very much appreciated such a cool audience.
