Mar 1 2007, 3:41 PM EST The Feb 28 Open Mike Nigh on the Ship was full of surprizes. Naragensett beer reps were there with promotions and give-aways. Then new comer Michelle Lewis got up and played the fisrt set. Michelle had just flown in from a 13 day tour on the west coast. She is a professional peformer and was Great! A hard to follow, I was next and my being only a casual noodler on guitar sounded pretty weak in comparrison. Luckily, the rest of the players picked up the night. Another newcomer, Dave Blodegett gave a stand out performance. Great to have the regular players also who are so supportive to the Ship. Next weeks already filling up.
